JOB TITLE: Application Engineering Supervisor/ManagerWork location: Shanghai or Shenzhen (Shenzhen address: 深圳市福田区车公庙泰然六路苍松大厦南座617)DEPARTMENT: Application EngineeringREPORTS TO: Operation Manager POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the supervision of the Applications Engineering group and lab. This person coordinates projects, coverage and work flow within the department. He/she is also responsible for overseeing the testing and evaluation as necessary for generating data required by marketing or commercial development or as needed for R&D, marketing, customers or prospects.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Supervises the applications engineering department personnel and activities.- Conducts performance reviews for applications engineers and specialists.- Manages work flow within the department.- Ensures adequate coverage of telephone and laboratory during all working hours.- Assigns field sales support responsibilities to applications specialists and engineers.- Assigns telephone coverage responsibilities to applications specialists and engineers, as needed.- Distributes market program support responsibilities to applications specialists and engineers.- Ensures product certifications are sought and maintained.- Ensures customers are given timely and effective responses by telephone, email and/or lab reports.- Develops appropriate testing capability to meet R&D, sales and marketing requirements. - Documents storage and database development and maintenance
