JOB TITLE: Application Engineering Supervisor/Manager Work location: Shenzhen or Shanghai(Shanghai address:上海市金山区金山区秋实路688号A6三楼)DEPARTMENT: Application Engineering REPORTS TO: Operation Manager POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the supervision of the Applications Engineering group and lab. This person coordinates projects, coverage and work flow within the department. He/she is also responsible for overseeing the testing and evaluation as necessary for generating data required by marketing or commercial development or as needed for R&D, marketing, customers or prospects. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Supervises the applications engineering department personnel and activities. - Conducts performance reviews for applications engineers and specialists. - Manages work flow within the department. - Ensures adequate coverage of telephone and laboratory during all working hours. - Assigns field sales support responsibilities to applications specialists and engineers. - Assigns telephone coverage responsibilities to applications specialists and engineers, as needed. - Distributes market program support responsibilities to applications specialists and engineers. - Ensures product certifications are sought and maintained. - Ensures customers are given timely and effective responses by telephone, email and/or lab reports. - Develops appropriate testing capability to meet R&D, sales and marketing requirements. - Documents storage and database development and maintenance t
